Who can apply to Hackhouse Residency?

Hackhouse Residency has two tracks. The Spark Program is for founders at the idea stage — you don’t need a registered company or revenue. The Scale Program is for founders who already have a working business and need help with growth and operations. Both are open to anyone with the drive to build.

How much does it cost to join?

The Hackhouse Residency (both Spark and Scale tracks) costs KES 25,000 for the full 12-week program. This covers mentorship, guest speakers, workspace access, and Demo Day. Coworking starts at KES 1,000/day for a daily desk, KES 10,000/month for a hot desk (4 days/week), or KES 16,000/month for a dedicated desk.

Does Hackhouse take equity?

No. We do not take equity in companies that join our programs. You keep 100% of your startup. Our programs are fee-based.

When does the next cohort start?

Hackhouse Residency cohorts run periodically — both Spark and Scale tracks run concurrently on the same days. Sign up to our newsletter or submit an application and we’ll notify you when the next cohort opens.
